Spring Refresh: Home

Spring has officially arrived, and for me that means the return of motivation lost somewhere between the end of the Festive period and the cold dreary days; and nothing kicks me into gear more than a little sunshine, and freshly blooming flowers outside. So with that it brings about the perfect excuse for a little home refresh, from spring cleans to adding a touch of fresh & colourful decor.

I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite ways to help give your home that spring refresh, ready to bring in warmer, brighter days.

First up, Spring Clean

I don’t know about you, but when its wet, dark and cold outside I just want to curl up on the sofa and slob out. Cleaning is the furthest thing from my mind, besides the general put shiz away and wipe the side kinda tidy. The second sunshine hits, it’s show time. EVERYTHING and I mean everything gets pulled out, moved about and cleaned. I find giving your home a good and deep clean helps set you in the right direction for Spring and the months to come. So move your furniture, flip your mattress, declutter your cupboards and get motivated.

Switch up your wardrobe

If you’re anything like me, you’ll have your wardrobes sorted by the seasons keeping the alternate season in storage. If not, its fine you can use this as your sign to go add some fresh to your wardrobe, believe me its time to swap the winter jumpers for spring time frocks. Bringing a fresh feel and look to your home includes your wardrobe & draws.

Change your decor

I never understood why my mum loved to decorate and rearrange each season - until I become that adult. From switching the curtains to something lighter, and changing up your throws and pillows, to bringing in some fresh, brighter ornaments. These little changes make a huge difference when it comes to bringing a fresh feel to your home.

Bring in some plants

The best part about Spring has to be the fresh plants and flowers. It’s the season of new and fresh, so if you’re looking for an excuse to go out and buy some more plants this is it.
